Apple is planning to launch the next the generation of iPad in the middle of Feb 2011. Rumors are all around that iPad will be available for sale at BestBuy.com from 17th Feb 2011.Currently Apple iPad holds the 70% of tablet market but as it lacks of many user required features and many other companies will be releasing there tablets in market soon. So, Apple doesn’t want to lose its hold on tablet PC market segment.
Motorola is also planning to release its Android 3.0 Honeycomb powered tablet XOOM in Feb also, it is more expected that Apple will launch iPad 2 to keep its hold on the buyers.
There is no official announcement made by Apple Inc. till now regarding the specs and availability of iPad2 in the market. Some internal sources and Apple’s product hardware manufacturer’s from China have comfimed the following tech specs for Apple iPad2 till now.
- Front facing camera with Facetime support and 5-8MP Rear end camera with LED Flash.
- Retina display with new multitouch capabilities and higher screen resolution.
- New version of iOS Software.
- Micro SD Card slot upto 32GB.
- Bluetooth 3.0
- Support for 4G LTE networks (only for USA).
- Thinner in size and lighter in weight.
- Few days ago somed etails about new SKUs of Apple iPad were shown on BestBuy’s website for sometime due to error in inventory database management and later on removed.
It is sure that the next version of Apple iPad will be coming soon at an Apple store near you.
